What students are saying about the Lecture Series

Mr. Bayer,

Thank you for visiting our class last Monday and Tuesday. I never realized that glass was such a unique material. I will definitely pay more attention to glass packaging from now on. Thank you once again for visiting with us.

Sincerely,
Stephen T.

I would like to thank you for your presentation on the glass industry. I am a student in Mr. Moore's class and found the information interesting. You presented us with facts and aspects of glass that I never knew about. It will definitely help me throughout my class this year and maybe the future.

Thanks,
Jacob E.

Thank you for giving us the two lectures on glass. I found them to be educating and I learned a lot about making glass and the different uses and benefits of glass. I think learning these things about glass will make our trip to the glass plant in Atlanta better because we will have a better idea of what is going on. Also, I heard on the radio Thursday that scientist are starting to suspect and investigate whether or not there are carcinogens in plastics. If this is proven to be true, plastics will obviously no longer be the wave of the future and in my opinion glass would take up a lot of the food business as well as other areas that plastics currently have. So I think these lectures may become more and more valuable in the future.

Thank you once again,
John W.

I just wanted to say thank you for coming and speaking to our class. I learned so much about the glass industry that I never knew. Your lectures have really spiked my interest in this particular area of packaging. I have always been most interested in the design of packages, but I never knew before all the neat things that were possible. I enjoyed listening and learning while you were in Clemson. Thanks so much for all that you have done for us!!

Sincerely,
Jessica L.

I really appreciated you coming to teach us about glass. I enjoyed listening to your lecture and the examples you brought to class made it make more sense. I think glass as an industry stands apart in my mind because it has such an authentic reputation. I'm considering going into the glass industry when I graduate.

Thanks again!
Laura H.

My name is Rickey and I am a student in Mr. Moore's 202 class and I would like to say thank you and tell you that I gladly appreciate the lecture you presented to us. It has help me gain a better understand of how the glass bottles are actually made and how important glass is in the packaging field. Thank you.

Rickey T.

I was a student in your lecture at Clemson University in South Carolina. I would like to thank you for you informational speech you gave to our Packaging class at Clemson. The Lecture/lab was very informational and will certainly influence what I see everyday to what I maybe able to contribute to the future packaging profession. Once again Thank you and look forward to see the promising future of glass packaging!

Hannah S.

Thank you very much for the presentation you gave us Clemson packaging students. It was not only very informational, but also very entertaining at the same time. I have never met anyone so enthused about glass packaging in my life.

Thank you very much,
Jack D.

Thank you for traveling all the way to Clemson to present the glass industry to our class. I learned many new things about glass that I did not know. In today's society leaning more and more toward plastic, I did not realize the actual advantages of using glass as a packaging material. The only thing I thought about were the disadvantages such as weight until I witnessed your presentation. The overall look of a product does look more refined if it is in a glass bottle or container. Thank you once again.

Sincerely,
Patrick L.

I would just like thank you for taking time out of your schedule and coming and talking to us about the many different glass products. The presentation that you gave was very informative and will help me I am sure in the future packaging classes I take and maybe one day when I take a job in the glass industry.

Once again thank you,
Jonathan Q.

Thank you so much for your presentation on glass for our packaging science 202 lab and lecture, they were both very interesting and have opened my eyes to a whole new way of looking at all of the glass products around me.

Thank you very much,

Sincerely,
Carson S.
