Glass Finish Bulletin No. 464
SUBJECT: Glass Finish No. 2225, Drawing No. 2225-00
“38 mm Press On Twist Off Multi-Pass Finish (4 Leads)”
Approved for Publication: 6/16/04
The subject GPI Finish Drawing No. 2225-00 shows the recommended specifications for a 38 mm press on, twist off, multi-pass finish.
In developing this new finish drawing, the Committee on Design and Specification recognized the need for a standard drawing for this finish which is being widely used in the industry and which is appropriate for publication on a GPI drawing. The recommended specifications shown on this finish drawing have not been previously shown on a GPI drawing.
Glass Packaging Institute drawings are intended to provide a voluntary basis for achieving compatibility and interchangeability between manufacturers and users of glass containers and closures. The actual container and closure designs used by manufacturers may differ from these standardized specifications however, and it is the user’s responsibility to make the final determination as to design and compatibility. It is understood that every company remains free to manufacture any container with any finish of its choosing, whether or not GPI has approved, disapproved or not considered a drawing for the particular design.
