2021 Clear Choice Award Entry

Glass Packaging Design Contest 


GPI is delighted to announce the return of the Clear Choice Awards (CCA) Program.      
For over 30 years, food and beverage brands have participated in the CCAs, using the program to highlight glass packaging that tells the story of their products and to showcase stand-out, innovative designs. 



All glass jars and bottles manufactured and available in the North American marketplace between January 2019 and December 2020 are eligible for GPI's 2021 Clear Choice Awards.

Products may be entered for an award in one of eight categories:

  • Beer, Cider & Flavored Alcoholic Beverages
  • Food
  • Wine
  • Spirits
  • Non-Alcoholic Beverages
  • Cosmetics, Fragrances & Pharmaceutical
  • Sustainability
  • Innovation

The entry timeframe (covering 2019 and 2020) was expanded to ensure  products entering the marketplace throughout the COVID-19 pandemic are able to receive recognition.

Entry Fees

GPI member companies may submit unlimited entires at no cost. 

All non-member entries require a $125 entry fee.


Entry forms must be recieved by April 30, 2021.  Product submissions may be submitted up to May 28, 2021.

Entries for the 2021 Clear Choice Awards are also eligible for the People’s Choice Glass awards, which will be held via GPI’s Twitter account.



An independent panel of leaders from the food and beverage media and industry, lifestyle editors and contributors, and design and packaging professionals will judge each submission on four criteria:

  • Innovation
  • Package design
  • Shelf impact
  • Storytelling strength of the brand or product

Judges may also refer entries for consideration in  sustainability and innovation categories.

Award Announcements

Winners will be announced Fall 2021, and be showcased in a variety of digital and print media.
