US imposes preliminary duties on glass from China

The US Department of Commerce is placing preliminary protectionist duties on glass containers from China, including wine, beer and spirits bottles, citing unfair subsidies from the Chinese government. The coronavirus outbreak has also led several Chinese ports and factories to close, resulting in production delays for US wineries that ordered bottles from glass plants in China.
